Microsystems and Trustwave expand global headquarters in Chicago

Microsystems

Microsystems recently announced it is relocating its global headquarters to 300 South Riverside Plaza in downtown Chicago. The company noted that its new central location will be more convenient for employees and facilitate better client service through its proximity to major business events, conferences, client offices, cultural centers and transportation. Microsystems expects to add nearly 100 new jobs by the end of 2018.

Founded in 1995, Microsystems has become a leading provider of document authoring, editing, formatting, proofreading and metadata scrubbing software, serving the legal and life sciences industries.

“We are very excited to move to the vibrant downtown Chicago area,” said Microsystems President Avaneesh Marwaha. “Our team is looking forward to getting closer to the heart of the city, to our customers and becoming more immersed in the thriving Chicago technology, legal, medical and business communities.”

Trustwave

Trustwave also recently opened a new and expanded headquarters in downtown Chicago. Located at 70 West Madison Street, the office supports approximately 300 employees and reflects the company’s brand, success and culture as one of the industry’s fastest-growing cybersecurity and managed security services providers.

“Trustwave’s commitment to and expansion in downtown Chicago demonstrates Chicago’s blossoming tech scene and ability to draw a skilled workforce for high-tech companies,” said Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel. “This expansion not only benefits its current employees, but also provides jobs for residents across Chicago and strengthens our growing tech economy.”

By the end of 2017, when the second and final phase of construction is set to be completed, Trustwave will have increased the size of its global headquarters by 65 percent and create room for more than 700 Chicago-based employees. About a third of Trustwave’s approximately 1,700 global employees are based in Chicago, and Trustwave is hiring more sales, engineering, security research and operations talent at an aggressive pace to support its growth.
