Jennifer Xu,
Research Associate

Jennifer Xu joined World Business Chicago (WBC) as a Research Associate in 2007. She works closely with the Director of Research to conduct a wide range of economic research and analysis on the regional economy. Xu also supports the Director of International Business Development in attracting foreign businesses and investment.
Prior to joining WBC, Xu worked as a Research Associate at the Maine International Trade Center, a public-private partnership affiliated with the U.S. Department of Commerce. She has also worked in China as a Project Manager for My Mai, a global business-to-business online trade and manufacturing platform.
Xu is a member of the Chicago Sister Cities China Committee and also serves on the Advisory Board for the Gwen Moore Children of China Fund, a not-for-profit that operates under the auspices of ProLiteracy Worldwide to help improve literacy in poor rural communities around the world. She is fluent in Mandarin Chinese and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Bowdoin College.
