In April 2005, Takeda announced development of a new Headquarters campus in Deerfield, Illinois. Takeda, with its North American Headquarters previously based in Lincolnshire, Illinois, plans a 1.2 million square foot full service campus on a 70 acre site, anchored by a 380,000 square foot, two building headquarters complex which are currently under construction.

The 500-job headquarters will receive EDGE tax credits from the State of Illinois over a ten year period, along with grants and workforce training funds.

Takeda Pharmaceuticals North America Inc. is a wholly owned subsidiary of Takeda Pharmaceutical Company Limited, the largest pharmaceutical company in Japan, and headquartered in Chicago’s sister city of Osaka.
