From October 18-20th, 2018, Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel, along with the University of Illinois System, World Business Chicago, and Chicago Ideas week will invite 200 top college students from across the country to take a behind-the-scenes tour of Chicago’s vibrant technology ecosystem and attend Chicago Ideas Week, an annual seven-day gathering that hosts 150+ globally-recognized speakers at 100+ events across the city.
- Tours of Chicago’s most innovative companies and co-working spaces, and meetings with key industry leaders;
- Talks and presentations featuring Chicago technologists and entrepreneurs;
- Chicago Ideas Week events, with past events including Edison Talks: Uncharted and A Seat at The Table.
Students are accepted into the program based on their interest in digital technology, computer science, innovation, entrepreneurship and demonstrated commitment to excellence. Most students are in the junior or senior years of their undergraduate studies, but students from other years are also encouraged to apply.
