Prior to joining WBC, Bader was a Research Assistant at the Urban Transportation Center (UTC) in the College of Urban Planning and Public Affairs at the University of Illinois at Chicago, where she conducted economic impact and cluster analyses, generated GIS maps, and designed web content to support faculty grant projects. While at the UTC, she also worked on the TRANPRO Interactive Public and Specialized Transportation Information Management System, where she developed materials to assist human service transportation providers through the process of applying for federal grant funding. Her thesis work examined the linkages between freight transportation improvement projects, freight trucking value-chain clusters, and regional economic structure.
Bader has a master’s degree in urban planning and policy concentrating in economic development from the University of Illinois at Chicago, and a bachelor’s degree in economics and international studies from the University of Iowa.
