Jennifer Xu joined World Business Chicago (WBC) as a Research Associate in 2007. She works closely with the Director of Research to conduct a wide range of economic research and analysis on the regional economy. Xu also supports the Director of International Business Development in attracting foreign businesses and investment.
Prior to joining WBC, Xu worked as a Research Associate at the Maine International Trade Center, a public-private partnership affiliated with the U.S. Department of Commerce. She has also worked in China as a Project Manager for Alibaba.com, a global B2B online trade platform.
Xu currently serves on the Business & Economic Development Subcommittee of the Chicago Sister Cities China Committee, and is Co-President of the Bowdoin Club of Chicago. She is fluent in Mandarin Chinese and is an active member of the Advisory Board for the Gwen Moore Children of China Fund. Xu holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Bowdoin College.
