Karley Sweet is World Business Chicago’s public relations/communications specialist. She has been with the company since March of 2005. She writes and edits the organization’s print and electronic media publications, and serves as a liaison to local, national and international media covering Chicago and its business climate.
Prior to WBC, Karley served as a public relations specialists for Chicago’s Mayor’s Office of Special Events, where she was responsible for creating and implementing public relations and marketing campaigns for existing and new events including the Taste of Chicago, Air and Water Show, Gospel Music Festival and Tall Ships Chicago.
Before that, Sweet was a senior media coordinator and assistant producer for Edelman Public Relations’ Media Services Department, where she corresponded with national media on behalf of major consumer, healthcare and technology clients.
Karley also served as an account coordinator for Medialink, Chicago, a broadcast public relations service provider.
Sweet graduated from the University of Wisconsin, Madison in 1998 with a degree in Journalism and Political Science.
