Kate Ernst became a Plan for Economic Growth and Jobs Fellow in June of 2014.

Kate is an audit manager at CohnReznick LLP, and is focused on providing clients with audit and accounting expertise. She has over five years of experience in public accounting, providing services to not-for-profit organizations, SEC-regulated companies, construction contractors, low-income housing tax credit partnerships, and organizations utilizing historic and new markets tax credit structures.

In addition to her client responsibilities, Kate is the Chicago office leader for WomenCAN, the firm’s national women’s initiative; a member of the firm’s Not-for-Profit and Education Industry Practice; and a developer and facilitator of audit training and professional development workshops. Kate is also an active member in the Illinois CPA Society and Step Up Women’s Network. When not in the office, Kate enjoys traveling and cooking. Kate earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in accounting from the University of Illinois at Chicago, and is a licensed CPA.
