Zuhair Khan became a Plan for Economic Growth and Jobs Fellow in June of 2014 and currently is a Policy Advisor for the U.S. Department of the Treasury.

Zuhair worked for Madison Dearborn Partners, a Chicago-based private equity firm that has managed over $18 billion of equity capital. Previously, Zuhair worked for Evercore Partners, an investment bank in New York City. Zuhair also worked on a National Science Foundation project in Kolkata, India, studying the performance of complex cross-border work.

Zuhair currently serves on the UT Austin McCombs School of Business BBA/MPA Alumni Advisory Board and co-chairs the McCombs Financial Analyst Program Advisory Committee. Zuhair is also a Young Professionals Ambassador of the Chicago Council on Global Affairs and serves on Interfaith Youth Core’s President’s Council Steering Committee. Zuhair graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a BBA in business honors and finance, and BA in history. At UT, he was awarded the R.C. Doenges Award as the most outstanding business honors graduate and the McCombs School of Business Rising Star Award.
