Program Director, CASE


World Business Chicago (WBC) seeks a full-time Program Director, CASE (Chicago Anchors for a Strong Economy) to oversee the coordination and administration of the CASE program including planning, organizing, staffing, leading, and controlling program activities.  The Program Director for CASE reports to the Executive Vice President of Neighborhood and Strategic Initiatives (EVP of NSI).

About CASE

CASE, an initiative of World Business Chicago, acts as a catalyst to create inclusive economic growth by leveraging anchor procurement to collectively impact Chicago Neighborhoods. More specifically, CASE enables anchors to individually and collectively support the vitality of their neighborhoods by sourcing and qualifying local, small to medium sized neighborhood businesses (including MWBEs) to supply the products and services anchors need.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • In conjunction with the EVP of NSI, develop and implement long-term goals and objectives to achieve the successful outcome of the program in accordance with the mission and the goals of the organization
  • Manage relationships with committees, anchor network and network of supporting organizations and businesses
  • Develop a program evaluation framework to assess the strengths of the program and to identify areas for improvement
  • Prepare documents/reports for funders, committees and or executive leadership
  • Responsible for the relationship of and direction of CASE contractors and vendors
  • Assist as needed the EVP-NSI on budget creation, reporting and team expenses
  • Ensure that the program operates within the approved budget
  • Manage CASE team by providing direction, input and feedback
  • Oversee and monitor all CASE data analytics
  • In consultation with the EVP of NSI, recruit, interview and select well-qualified program staff
  • Assist EVP of NSI with staff performance appraisals/reviews

Qualifications

  • 7 plus years of experience owning program strategy and deliverables
  • Graduate degree preferred
