Skills for Chicagoland’s Future was incubated by World Business Chicago, and subsiquently launched by Mayor Rahm Emanuel and Cook County Board President Toni Preckwinkle in 2012.

SCF is a nonprofit organization that identifies companies’ immediate hiring needs and connects them with qualified, unemployed job seekers and/or the resources necessary to find customized training programs.

Accomplishments

Secured thousands of company commitments to hire the unemployed

Placed thousands of unemployed job seekers into employment

Showcased at the White House

Visited by U.S. Secretary of Labor Thomas Perez
