West Monroe Partners Expands HQ in Chicago, Plans to Add More than 150 Jobs

West Monroe Partners Expands HQ in Chicago, Plans to Add More than 150 Jobs

westmonroelogoMayor Rahm Emanuel, World Business Chicago and West Monroe Partners, a full-service business and technology consultancy, today announced that construction of the company’s newly expanded space, located in its Chicago office at 222 W Adams Street, has been completed.

The firm’s Chicago office hired 135 people during 2014 and expects to add more than 150 professionals in 2015. The company also has a strong internship program, with nearly 30 Chicago-based interns already committed for 2015.

“Companies like West Monroe Partners are choosing to stay and grow in Chicago because of the City’s talented workforce, modern transportation system and diverse economy,” said Mayor Emanuel. “West Monroe sees a city on the move with an exciting future that they want to be a part of. I congratulate West Monroe on their success and look forward to their future growth.”

The build-out coincides with the firm’s Performance Services practice expansion. The team’s operations occupy a new 8,000 square-foot space, adding to West Monroe’s current office space and bringing its total footprint to 50,000 square feet. West Monroe has opted to build out its new space in the loop in an effort to keep its Performance Services practice close to the rest of its consulting team. This environment offers better collaboration across internal teams and to the clients they serve.

“Given our rapid growth, collaboration among our internal teams is critical. Our expanded footprint allows our teams to work together to support clients from strategy and implementation to running efficient operations on an ongoing basis,” said Doug Armstrong, West Monroe Partners’ Chicago office leader. “While many consultancies provide managed services from remote locations, we took a different approach by adding state-of-the-art space for our Performance Services team in downtown Chicago. We believe this will help us attract and retain top-tier technologists.”

West Monroe Partners, with a team of more than 400 in Chicago, including over 70 in its Performance Services practice alone, leased the space through 2023 to accommodate its projected future growth.

“Corporate headquarters in Chicago are a key component to Mayor Emanuel’s Plan for Economic Growth and Jobs, which WBC is implementing,” said World Business Chicago President & CEO Jeff Malehorn. “We look forward to working with the company as it continues to grow and thrive in Chicago.”

The Chicago office, which opened in 2002, serves more than 400 clients in key industries, including banking, private equity, life sciences, insurance, utilities, and retail.
