XChange Chicago | Workforce Development

The tech talent pipeline in Chicago is full, but access to that pipeline isn't equally distributed. Xchange Chicago was designed to close that gap — through technical training in software development, cybersecurity, soft skills and professional confidence.

Launched by the Comer Science & Education Foundation, SDI Presence, and P33 last year, Xchange Chicago welcomes participants with varying backgrounds to their facility in Grand Crossings, and leaves them feeling genuinely prepared to step into enterprise environments and perform. For Xchange apprentices, the hands-on experience and training has the ability to transform their career trajectories.

That effect scales: The technology spend gets reinvested, and Chicago’s talent pipeline expands, bridging the gap between our city’s local talent and its world class tech economy.

That's the work Xchange is doing, and they're doing it with Chicagoans, for Chicago. World Business Chicago is proud to spotlight SDI Presence for powering community-based workforce development.

If your organization is committed to building a more representative tech workforce, reach out. There's meaningful work to do, and we'd welcome the conversation.
